- It is possible to wash them but do it very carefully and rarely by observing following rules:
Washing in hot water is absolutely contraindicated for felt: it moults and sheds. It can be washed by hand only: in warm soapy water at a temperature of 30-35°C.
After the washing the hat is wrung out but not twisted! Felt takes any shep well, when is saturated with water. After the harsh spinning the hat will stretch and wrinkle. Therefore, it will be better to do it by placing the hat between two towels. The more carefully you wring it out, the longer the fabric will save its structure and the better will pretect you from overheating.
The hat for sauns must dry in the same position in which it is worn. Under no circumstances should you dry it on a hot rsdiator – it will shrink a lot. It is necessary to give the hat shape – in order to do this, put it on a mannequin. After that leave it until its full drying in a well-ventilated room.
